In both time, passion and energy, I have dedicated the largest share of my career to improving the lives of young people through The ROCK. My passion began as I witnessed my own kids need and grew as I watched it exponentially increase through time and space. Through The ROCK, I and those around me who work or volunteer, bring hope and resilience to our present and future world, what better cause could one dedicate themselves to?

I feel lucky to be in a place that encourages, supports, and welcomes youth to be accepted as they are and where they are. The ROCK is doing fantastic work for our youth’s mental wellbeing. To be a small part of their story is a tremendous opportunity for me to help make a difference in our future.

I love working for The ROCK because of our shared mission. The reward I receive is seeing youth valued as unique individuals, being included in their experiences and development, and learning from them. Plus, it is just plain fun to work here. We practice what we promote. Learning and growing with my team and the teens fulfills me.

I personally have huge areas of interest, countless hobbies and am curious about so many things. Planning weekly activities, summer camps and events at The ROCK allows me to explore so many different subjects with the students in the hands on sort of way I like to learn. As a kid finding that place where you feel at home, are allowed to try, fail and succeed, make a mess and laugh while spending time with people who want to understand you and spend time with you is priceless. Learning while experiencing all that is perfect!

I’m excited to be on The ROCK team. I was first introduced to The ROCK at their annual dinner, and I went home very excited to tell my kids about the program. Both of my boys have attended The ROCK program and it has made a difference in their lives. I’m thankful to be welcomed in a work environment where I can utilize my skills. I truly enjoy working with numbers and assisting in the behind-the-scenes work. Even though I do not work directly with kids, I know The ROCK has an impact on them, and I appreciate being a part of it.

Being apart of an organization with a mission to build hope and resilience in youth everyday aligns with my values and is a main reason I work at The ROCK. I enjoy working with a group of people that all believe in the collective mission and show it through their actions everyday! When I interact with the youth at The ROCK my favorite thing is hearing about their day and celebrating their accomplishments with them. I am grateful to be apart of the story of making a difference in youth lives through The ROCK.
