On October 20th, The ROCK and Discover You™ opened our offices to welcome our longtime supporters for a Thank You Picnic. Students from The ROCK served hot dogs, popcorn, and snow cones with a smile. This event gave supporters a chance to see The ROCK’s new teen space in action. The students were proud to show off their space and their skills to all in attendance.
Student-Led Activities
Attendees wrote positive affirmations to decorate the new teen space and played a round of Human Bingo facilitated by the students and Discover You™ staff. This gave everyone a chance to get to know one another and build positive relationships. Supporters got a behind-the-scenes look at the activities teens enjoy in our program on a daily basis.

Safe Third Spaces
Attendees got a first look at The ROCK’s newest teen space on Eastman Avenue. The new location is a warm, welcoming environment for high school teens to hang out, work on homework, or just enjoy time outside of school with friends and ROCK staff. We are excited to share that this location is now open for registrations!
The ROCK is able to provide these unique spaces and experiences for teens thanks to generous contributions from our community and strong partnerships. We are deeply grateful for the commitment that makes our program possible. A special thank you to The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation and Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation for the financial support that brought our teen space to life!
