As Thanksgiving season approaches, we at Discover You™ are reflecting on the community support that helps our students build connection, confidence, and community. Every grant, donation, and act of generosity is an investment in the potential of young people. Through PeerLIFT, these community-driven resources create safe, inclusive spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead. This season, we celebrate the partners who make this possible and the ripple effect of giving on building a culture of belonging in our schools.

PeerLIFT builds a caring community in schools and beyond
PeerLIFT is a student-led mental health awareness and suicide prevention program administered by Discover You™. LIFT stands for Listen, Inspire, Feel, Thrive. Students in the program create their own, unique, student-led awareness campaign to break down stigma of mental health and create a culture of belonging and community within their schools.
On Thursday, September 18th, 160 PeerLIFT members in Midland County came together to collaborate, make connections, and champion this spirit of care and belonging in their schools. This year, PeerLIFT students are also piloting expanding the program online through the Discover You™ Community, extending that sense of support beyond the classroom and into the digital space.

Why we LIFT: Students share their purpose
At the kickoff event, PeerLIFT students shared their reasons for joining the program this year. From supporting peers who are struggling to fostering empathy and inclusion, PeerLIFT students are leading the way in creating more understanding and connected communities.
PeerLIFT is made possible by to generous financial support from our grantors and community partners who invest in our youth. Thank you to MyMichigan Health, The Midland Rotary Foundation, and The Michigan Health Endowment Fund for their support of the PeerLIFT program for the 2025-26 school year.
