Overheard at The ROCK!
It is a joy to overhear what teens are saying about our programs. It can be funny one-liners or a heartwarming story of why they like to be involved with our programs. From the after-school time to events out in the community, we can provide many opportunities because of our generous donors and community partners.
Spirit Hockey games bring a lot of happiness and excitement to our programming. Dow donates tickets to our four program sites to enjoy a night out at a hockey game. With their generosity, teens can have an experience out in the community with their peers.
On the way home, riding in our ROCK van (supported by a grant from the Midland Area Community Foundation and Kiwanis Foundation), our staff danced to ‘California Girls’ by Katy Perry as all the teens belted out the words. Our team enjoys the time they spend with students at a community events.
“This was the best night of my life!”, said by a student after attending a Spirit hockey game.
